Is the Food Pyramid real, or is it just a complete joke?

It is not a complete joke because for some that eat absolutely horribly it is beneficial to them.
It isn’t by any means the best way to model your diet after though. It has gotten better with the latest revised version, but there are still flaws with it.

I don’t think a tax on junk food will do anything. I remember people back in the day saying they’d stop driving if gas ever got to be more than a dollar per gallon….. I don’t know of anyone who quit because of price. How have extensive taxes on cigarettes done in terms of helping people stop smoking?
