Simple tips are the best Jayson. I hear the "stress" excuse quite often. Thanks for sharing.

When I was young and trying to lose the weight I'd gained while pregnant, I followed a diet that was called the Basic Foods plan. It was very simple, used no packaged or prepared foods, just a list of foods like boiled eggs, cottage cheese, fresh or frozen fish, tuna, chicken, raw vegetables and fruits, etc. You checked off each item as you ate it, and you could see at a glance how much you had left for the rest of the day. I lost 30 pounds easily in a few months. Fast forward to today, and it's not so easy any more. I'm not moving around as freely now, which is the main difference, and somewhere along the way food began to mean more than just fuel for the engine. A stay in the hospital for knee surgery showed me that portions need to be smaller than I've gotten used to. So, I'm working on that and have lost, over the past year, 24 pounds. Enough to fit into a size smaller clothes, which is great, but not enough yet. And it hasn't been easy at all.

I haven't tried any fad diets in order to lose weight, I do count calories watch portin size and try to incorperate fruits veggies and unprocessed as possible. However I have tried to increased my green tea intake (told its a natural fat burn) and added cayanne pepper, cinnamon, and other spicy flavors to my diet (was told they increase metabolism).
